Urban Entertainment Hub

Urban ‘place making’ as space for entertainment for the urban population describes the sole concept of Urban Entertainment Hub. Urban Entertainment Hub can be primarily defined as family-oriented entertainment destinations. Such centers combine recreation with entertainment to form an overall experience using cognitive mapping as a key principle. Retail needs entertainment to attract people in and entertainment needs retail to support the overall operation. The goal of an Urban Entertainment Hub for a city is perhaps to create tax revenue or to sell food or merchandise; but for the visitor the overriding concept is to have fun. Urban Entertainment Hub is the combination of retail as well as recreational spaces. In Raipur there are many individual shopping centres entertainment arena etc but Urban Entertainment Hub is a one stop entertainment destination with combination of retail as well as recreational activities which would be one of its kind project in Raipur. This book is based on the project which combines the learnings from case study / situation analysis and fundamental understanding of successful public space.
