URBAN FERTILITY RATE IN BILASPUR CITY: ANALYTICAL STUDY

There are three main factors of population growth that is fertility mortality and migration. The word Fertility means the actual reproductive performance of a woman (according to Lewis and Thompson 1965). In the year 1951 36.11 crore was the population in India.In 2001 it has become 102.7 crore which means increasing rate is 21.34% during 1991-2001.In the year 2011 census the population was 124.72 crore. Mortality rate is checked by modern science and technology. But fertility rate cannot be checked due to early marriage age and also for the illiteracy.The birth registration in India is very limited so the actual fertility rate counting becomes very difficult. The registration general of India has maintaining a register regarding birth and death at Tahsil level. But it is not sufficient for detailed analysis. The fertility pattern in the urban border of Bilaspur city studied and highlight to it.He urban fringes are the mixed socio-economic culture. Where the fertility rate is high rather than the urban region.Population growth of the world is dependent on the rate of human fertility. The number of total birth given by a woman during her sexual life is known as fertility.
