Urban governance: managing urban problems

Urban governance is a lever capable of boosting the development of cities. Today participatory urban management requires the involvement of all actors at the grassroots level in order to face the difficulties. The authorities should also take charge of the promotion of young people and women through capacity building and the popularisation of access to credit the construction of urban level infrastructures to prepare the city to emerge from rurality and finally to prevent the influx of rural populations in a disorganised manner and urban violence. The populations must take ownership of the local project for the achievement of a sustainable development
