Urbanization and socio-environmental interference

The process of urbanization has contributed to population densification in large urban centers at a global and local level largely due to the attractions that are offered mainly jobs health and housing so cities have grown at a fast and disorderly pace without proper urban planning. The natural areas such as forests and river courses that once existed in these places were replaced over time by buildings and partially or totally occupied by the arriving populations. The watersheds located on the urban perimeters of cities are affected because they are used as an outlet for waste from homes or factories that cause their destruction.
