About The Book

Urinary tract infections (UTI) are considered the most recurrent pathology in hospital areas with a frequency of 45% due to the use of a urinary or bladder catheter with 80% being the main cause of UTI. Based on the above the present study aims to determine the incidence of urinary tract infections associated with intermittent versus permanent bladder catheterization. A prospective and retrospective field study was carried out with non-experimental characteristics correlational scope and quantitative approach.
