Urinary tract infection and lithogenesis

About The Book

Our main objective in this study is to contribute to the study of urinary lithiasis in Algeria particularly in the East Algerian region. Various aspects have been considered the first of which is an epidemiological study of 1553 cases of lithiasis to determine the frequency of calculi in relation to infection and to establish as precisely as possible the conditions of their lithogenesis. A preventive approach based on the antilithiasis (litholytic/inhibitory) and antibacterial effects of a medicinal plant was also undertaken with the aim of proposing a new alternative in the management of recurrent lithiasis of infectious origin.
