Seventeen-year-old Gracie Jackson is hanging on by a thread. Caring for her sick mother while working a full-time job at the Shakes n' Slaw and trying to finish high school is more than anyone should be expected to handle. Plus she's so lonely it hurts. That's why when the new guy at school Joshua Cadman enters her life she's leery-but interested.
