USAF Manning Cut

This reduction will free up badly needed budgetary dollars to help re-capitalize and modernize our aging air and space platforms. The researcher sets out to answer the following question: What impact will the United States Air Force's 40000 person drawdown have on its ability to effectively support the global war on terror (GWOT)? The researcher argues that the USAF's 40000 person drawdown runs counter to fighting the GWOT because it sends a message to its most precious resources that they are not needed. An alternate solution in the form of a smaller cut is necessary to keep the warrior ethos alive in our Airmen.
