Thirukkural sometimes  makes one keep his mouth open in awe; but this happens literally when one tries to read some of  couplets. There are in all 1330 couplets contained in this  Tamil Classic but a few of them stand out quite special by virtue of their intricate features. .Scholars of repute have culled out some two dozen or so couplets for their special nature as these couplets can be read without  labial contact.  There are thousands of books dedicated exclusively to deal with special features enshrined in Thirukkural but there seems to be not so many in this area. The 24 couplets in question apart from choice of words free from labials contain some deeply meaningful discussions of cultural or moral values. The book aims to discuss each one of the 24 kurals elaborately  bringing out their inherent messages.
