About The Book

Climate change has remain a threat to crop production among farmers in the zone. Despite the effort of international agencies like IPCC and UNFCCC to fight against climate change through conventional mitigation and adaptation measuresfarmers have not benefited from it because of cost technical know-how required and alienation associated to it. Althoughfarmers are endowed with indigenous agricultural knowledge and practices(IAKPs)which are cost effectiveand Eco-friendly they have not been identified documented and utilized by farmers in their crop production as climate change mitigation and adaptation measures that could be use in crop production stages like pre-planting plantingpost-planting operationsand IAKPs farmers could use as climate change copping strategies in their crop production. Therefore identifyingdocumenting and utilizing IAKPs in crop production activities now that conventional mitigation and adaptation measures are not within the reach of the poor farmers who are vulnerable to effects of climate change will be of great help to them and should be especially useful to research institutionsresearchersstudents teachers and agencies like IPCC and UNFCCC.
