This is Volume 10 of 150 the Uralic and Altaic series covering the period of 1960 to 1990. This volume provides a Uzbek Newspaper reader with a glossary.The Uzbek Newspaper Reader has been compiled at the specification of the American Council of Learned Societies and contains grammatical sketch of present-day written Uzbek written language form also called literary Uzbek phonologically based 'on the dialect of Tashkent; and texts with notes and vocabulary to provide examples of the journalistic type of language in use today in the Uzbek-speaking areas of Soviet Central Asia (Turkestan).
