Grape culture in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan is of ancient origin. Ancient horticulturists of Nakhchivan developed many valuable grape varieties of different ripening period. The variety composition of grapes of the autonomous republic counts nowadays more than 175 table sultana-raisin and technical varieties mainly of local origin. The articles contain data on the study of yield indicators of valuable native Azerbaijani grape varieties grown in the conditions of Nakhchivan zone (ampelographic collection) namely: number of fruit-bearing shoots number of bunches on a bush fruiting coefficient average weight of bunches yield per hectare etc. as well as data on the study of chemical composition of grapes (sugar content and titratable acidity indicators) as well as economic indicators etc. These varieties should be preserved. Thus these varieties should be conserved multiplied and propagated. The book is intended for students farmers and viticulturalists.
