Vanishing Assets of the Young Professional

Each generation faces new obstacles and has differing sets of priorities as compared to previous generations. In a constantly changing world it shouldn’t be a surprise that each generation differs as well acclimating to their environments. The title alone hints at a multifaceted answer to millennials financial situation. While some might blame it on Avocado Toast and other choice spending habits many other factors influence the liquid capital of young American professionals today. Millennials do not continue all the same spending habits as the generations before them; but that doesn’t question the why. Why don’t Millennials spend their money the same way? The answer is something they’ve been saying all along: they have less capital to spend. While people are quick to point to technology traveling and Avocado Toast there are far more influential factors affecting the current young professionals that other generations avoided or did not encounter until much later in life.
