Vanishing Point

Chippewa Point a 640 acre tract of wilderness bordering Sweetwater Lake in northern Minnesota and refuge to countless species of wild birds and animals is the most important place in the world to young naturalist Cole Desmond who has spent much of his boyhood there and considers it his personal Garden of Eden. When a group of investors from Minneapolis buys the land and hires Cole's architect father Jack to develop it into the biggest resort in the upper Midwest the stage is set for a conflict that pits son against father husband against wife neighbor against neighbor and threatens to destroy both the wild beauty of the Point and the trust and serenity of the entire community.
