VARIETAL EVALUATION AND MANAGEMENT OF LEPIDOPTERAN PESTS OF SORGHUM

The field experiment were carried out to study the seasonal incidence screening promising lines and evaluation different insecticides against lepidopteran insect pests of sorghum at Sorghum Research Station VNMKV Parbhani during Kharif 2019-2020.The seasonal incidence of lepidopteran insect pests and natural enemies in sorghum during the year showed the incidence of pests and natural enemies and their peak time. The peak incidence of stem borer fall armyworm earhead worm ladybird beetle and earwig was observed during 34th 36th 39th 33rd and 36th respectively.Results concluded that the chlorantraniliprole 18.5 % SC and flubendiamide 39.35 % SC were effective against the pest.
