Vera - Inquilab-e-Ruus ki khooni Daastaan

<p>Saadat Hasan Manto translated Oscar Wilde's famous and popular play Veera which was a tragedy that takes place in Russia and is partially based on Vera Zasulich's life. Manto's Urdu translation was published in 1934. The publication of Oscar Wilde's play on the subject of the Russian Revolution created an uproar in its time. Due to this Urdu translation there was a stir in the palaces of the British Empire which increased Manto's popularity in the literary and public circles.</p><p><br></p>
