Conflict is at the heart of anything exciting whether it be the natural world human social dynamics or ideas about art and creativity. Opposites attract the underdog takes on the powers that be one generation rebels against the one before it. In Versus the students of Hisar High School in Istanbul explore some of the most fundamental conflicts of all: our creative writers take on Head vs. Heart Turkish literature students take another look at East vs. West and students from across the school weigh in on Us vs. Them. Meanwhile our artists athletes and budding economists dive into the frictions that drive their fields. Together the Hisar writers hold a mirror to the conflicts at the centers of all our lives.
