Vertical Flow Constructed Wetland : for Waste Water Treatment

The rapid growth of industrial sector produces an increasing environmental alarm by generating toxic contaminants and their discharge into the water streams and lakes. Also the wastewater released by the various household as well as industrial activities gives rise to the serious issue of water pollution. Here in the present book we have discussed working mechanism and actual construction of vertical flow constructed wetland (VFCW). It is a greener cleaner and cost-effective approach for wastewater treatment. Further experimental results obtained by the use of VFCW are discussed in detail.
