<p>In Matthew 19:14-15 the Lord Jesus said to all of us Let the little children come to me and do not forbid them; for such is the kingdom of heaven. And He laid His hands on them and departed from there.</p><p><br></p><p>This simplified story about The Children's Crusade was discovered by accident when the author was conducting a small dissertation on the innocent saints or what historically was the fourth crusade in the year 1212.</p><p><br></p><p>The name of the young pilgrim and crusader was Stephen who had a dream about leading the crusade back to the Holy Land. The ten-year-old was persuaded and directed by an angel. Stephen accepted the mission and took it to the streets. A multitude of children other Christian believers and poor people followed him to northern Africa. They were taken gracefully to Jerusalem by a squad of Templars and other orthodox believers but were finally stopped and put to the test for their beliefs and perseverance. All of them never recanted their strong faith.</p><p><br></p><p>Today we get a clear message about resilience and the strong desires that fueled The Children's Crusade creating a foundation for our deep and innermost Christian values.</p><p><br></p><p>Author Bio - Victor Bertolami has written books and other literary projects and articles for over twelve years. He is a U.S. Navy veteran and Iraq War supporter who was honorably discharged in May 2006. A proud U.S. and Puerto Rican citizen he is currently serving as a chaplain leading a Christian adoration youth group. The author is also a professional counselor and a history teacher.</p>
