Visual art as an integral element of Ukrainian theater

Since the beginning of the 21st century contemporary Ukrainian theater has been developing in the context of close and fruitful interaction with global cultural processes. It is impossible to consider it without a comprehensive analysis of scenographic techniques and principles of stage design. The integrated synthesis of the arts embodied in theater has stimulated the search for opportunities to introduce modern mass media technologies new materials and visual techniques into scenography. It was this period that became the most productive in terms of innovative scenographic solutions based on the discoveries of 20th-century artists. For contemporary art history it is becoming relevant to study not only the specific features of scenography but also the influence of other types of visual art on its creation.
