Vital Records of Tisbury Massachusetts To the Year 1850

The Town of Tisbury located in Dukes County formerly known as Middletowne was established July 8 1671 at which time the name was changed. The work is an alphabetical listing of approximately 2700 births 2400 marriages (naming 4800 individuals.) and 1500 deaths. Most of the marriage records show the male's full name and wife's full (maiden) name with some of the records providing the the place of residence. Many of the death records show cause of death and some show age at the time of death providing an opportunity to calculate a birth year.
