Vocabulary Learning Through Crossword Puzzles

Vocabulary has a prominent role in language learning and it is one of the core components of language. It is considered as one of the important aspects in the foreign/second language learning. One of the useful ways for teaching and learning vocabulary is crossword puzzles. In addition crossword puzzles are an excellent way to teach vocabulary and they cover English language skills such as vocabulary and spelling (Paul 2003; Jones 2007).
