Donald Oppewal has selected for this collection ten representative spokespersons all of whom have spoken or written from a Reformed perspective of their vision for Christian schooling. The authors represent the tensions between the traditionalists and progressives of a previous generation as well as more recent and still living proponents of their own vision for the future. The authors also have expertise in a number of foundational disciplines; including theology but also psychology history and educational philosophy. Its uniqueness lies in this mult-disciplinary assessment and evaluation of Christian schooling. It is intended as a supplementary text for courses in educational philosophy and in curriculum theory giving the Reformed perception of what is at stake in the Christian school movement.
Contributors: W.
