<p>The five volumes of the <em>Waifs and Strays of Celtic Tradition </em>are an important collection of tales stories and legends from Argyll that were first published between 1889 and 1895.</p><p><br></p><p>The first volume was edited by Lord Archibald Campbell the son of the 8<sup>th</sup> Duke of Argyll who was also the first president of the <em>Comunn Gaidhealach</em>. In addition to the Craignish Tales and several other stories in both Gaelic and English it also includes Campbell's <em>Notes on the War Dress of the Celts</em>.</p><p><br></p><p><em>This revised series has been professionally edited and the Gaelic corrected in accordance with modem orthography.</em></p><p><br></p>
