<p>In 1992 Alfred Bud Maddock was airlifted off <em>Antigone </em>his sailboat anchored in Florida's Biscayne National Park. The winds of <em>Hurricane Andrew</em> had already begun to howl.</p><p>When he was able to return to his ship a few days later he found she'd been picked up by cyclone winds and dropped deep in the jungle at Elliot Key.</p><p>Thus began a two-year battle against the relentless storms of bureaucracy and dense swarms of mosquitoes to recover his home.</p><p>In this true modern castaway tale Bud survived on handouts from passing boaters and conversations with remote HAM radio operators. He passed his time studying French reading the classics fraternizing with the raccoons and waiting for god.</p>
