Wake Turbulence

<p><em>It looked like a random drug related killing but Grif McNab's best friend refuses to believe it.</em></p><p> </p><p>Griffin McNab washed out astronaut returned to his small hometown in rural Northern California for the serenity of country life and to be a bush pilot.  At the request of his friend he reluctantly agrees to look into the murder of a street person.</p><p> </p><p>As he resurrects skills and contacts from his post-NASA years as an Air Force investigator McNab experiences pushback from the authorities and other mysterious powers that seems all out of proportion to his inquiry.</p><p> </p><p>McNab gathers information from his small town network -- backwoods pot grower librarian environmentalist a past love interest failing emu farmer and Tibetan monks on a sacred mission. And he finds that sleepy Euphrates is a nexus not only of small town secrets but national and even international intrigue.</p><p><br></p><p>Beset on all sides by forces he doesn't understand and tied to a quest he cannot quit his life crumbles and mortal danger for him and his allies becomes all too real.</p><p> </p>
