<p>Wang twelve-years-old and lazy dreams of becoming rich and powerful. He refuses to work in the wheat fields all his life like his father. After dreaming of soaring through the sky on a mighty dragon his solution is to become one of the legendary mystical Eternals of the Lao Mountain a group known and feared for its magical feats.</p><p></p><p>After learning where the Eternal Temple is Wang journeys through a dense fog and rugged forest trail to get there and begins an apprenticeship. But he wonders if taking from the rich is considered wrong. Will he ignore the warning and use his newly acquired magical skill instead to get rich?</p><p></p><p><em>Walking Through Walls</em> is a fantasy chapter book set in sixteenth-century China and based on an ancient Chinese tale. It includes reading comprehension questions activities and information about the Ming Dynasty period and the Chinese dragon.
