In those days when the father of a young woman didn't approve that was the end of it. Period. But that wasn't the case with Jim Kanalley and Mary Wallace. This is the remarkable true story of my father's great-grandparents who rebelled against social norms of their time just so they could be together at odds with the Wallace family's will. While their love for each other was strong there was no way Jim and Mary could prepare for what the world had in store for their future: A whirlwind of experiences emotions and a World War that changed everything. This story is inspired by true events with some creativity mixed in to fill in the blanks.
