Even today there are doubts as to whether stretching or warming up before strength training increases or decreases muscle strength. This study was conducted to clarify the best way to warm up before muscle strengthening: stretching the muscle group that will be trained or performing an aerobic exercise as a warm-up. Some forms of acute warm-up act physiologically to decrease strength. However regardless of the form of warm-up chosen strength training is necessary as it is through adequate strengthening that we achieve musculoskeletal balance.
