Drop it or so help me God I’ll drop you!”His own weapon still at sling-arms Justin squinted back his only movement the arching of brows; then came his reply:“I saved your life back there Eads; Jim would have killed you for sure. You’re over the line this time fella; way over.” His eyes flamed the brows moving close to his hair-line and his next words seemed childish and boastful—horribly chilling; they were also well calculated:“GET OFF MY WORLD MISTER!”The utter plausibility and conviction behind those words stunned Eads and too late he squeezed the trigger.The skinny man was already on the ground in a twisting roll his weapon now magically in hand. And then for one awful instant that weapon became aligned. White-orange flame spewed from the muzzle.Something screamed!!!
