Water stress effect on pigeon pea varieties

This book summarizes about the effect on physiological changes and yield due to drought stress. An experiment was carried out in Navsari district south Gujarat India to observe the effect of drought stress in different six varieties of pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan L. Millsp.) and its tolerance to thrive in water stress condition under rabi season. It was observed that two varieties namely GT-102 and C-11 recorded highest yield among all the six varieties in water stress condition. Hence farmers are recommended to grow GT-102 and C-11 varieties of pigeon pea in water stress regions of south Gujarat India.
