ACKNOWLEDGEMENT John Igo of San Antonio College was a noted poet (he published 12 books on poetry) was an Emmy Award winner had a San Antonio Library Branch named after him has been called a literary treasure of San Antonio College and often read my poetry. In those days we both taught at San Antonio College. He taught English and I taught Economics. His office was on the 5th floor of the Moody Learning Center and mine was on the 7th. As soon as I finished a poem if I felt it was worthy of him I would run down the stairwell two floors and let him read it. In general he said the style of my poetry reminded him of Emily Dickinson. I was so astonished by the comment that I never asked him to explain. If you find a little of Emily in my poetry and I certainly hope you do remember John Igo discovered it first. No matter what you meant John thank you thank you so much.
