We Three Kings: Two Journeys of the Magi

A wiseman had a dream and it all began with a star---the brightest any of the Magi in the East had ever seen. In the hey-day of stargazers priests and kings one magus from a Graeco-Indian kingdom set out on the star-led journey that became as legendary as it was long. Gaspar after suffering through impossible deserts and traveling hardships of every kind meets up with the wise priest Melchior. Later the two magi are rescued from deadly peril by chieftain-king Balthasar who also undertakes the quest to locate their now-known objective a newborn King of the Jews. Trouble with King Herod in Jerusalem dogs the threesomes every step to Bethlehem and beyond Judaeas borders. But these problems are nothing compared with the countless horrors plaguing the return journey to Judaea thirty years later.
