Jacobs life is full of changes. Besides starting school soon he is about to become a big brother. Even before his sister is born Jacob can sense that she is going to need some very special care. At times Jacobs parents are unable to answer all of Jacobs questions but fortunately his grandma is there for him. Together the family ponders how they can best prepare for helping Jacobs disabled sister. Jacob loves his sister Pearl dearly. He is happy to discover that she seems to hear his voice and feel his touch on her skin. Their life together is ready to begin.
