About The Book

The Bible provides a multifaceted view of what we will be like after we die emphasizing both an intermediate state and the ultimate resurrection of the body. In Apostle Bill Amor's new book he explores these biblical teachings in depth drawing from key scriptural passages and theological insights to offer clarity on this profound topic.

Apostle Bill Amor highlights that the Bible teaches believers will enter into a conscious disembodied state immediately after death. This is often referred to as the intermediate state where the soul exists apart from the physical body but remains alive and in communion with Christ. For instance Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident I say and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. Similarly in Philippians 1:23 Paul expresses his desire to depart and be with Christ which he describes as better by far. These verses suggest that after death believers are spiritually present with God while awaiting their bodily resurrection.

The ultimate hope for Christians lies not merely in a disembodied existence but in the resurrection of the body. Apostle Amor explains that this teaching is central to Paul's writings particularly in 1 Corinthians 15. Here Paul compares our current bodies to seeds that are sown perishable but raised imperishable (1 Corinthians 15:42-44). The resurrected body will be transformed into a glorified state-imperishable powerful spiritual yet tangible-modeled after Jesus' resurrected body (Philippians 3:21). This transformation signifies victory over death through Christ's resurrection.

Apostle Amor also addresses what happens after death concerning judgment and eternal destiny. According to Hebrews 9:27 It is appointed for man to die once and after that comes judgment. Believers will stand before Christ at what is known as the Judgment Seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10) where they will receive rewards based on their faithfulness during earthly life. Those who have rejected God face eternal separation from Him (Matthew 25:31-46). However for believers eternal life means dwelling with God forever in a renewed creation-a place described as free from pain sorrow or death (Revelation 21:4)
