What If We Fall?

<p>There were only two things I wanted to accomplish before the end of the year: 1. Learn to <strong>swim</strong> </p><p> 2. Move into my own <strong>apartment</strong>. And none of those things included Eiden Bates. Until one <strong>incident</strong> made us cross paths. But the last thing I expected Eiden to be was my <strong>dad's</strong> <strong>best</strong> <strong>friend</strong>. You can also imagine the shock I got when he offered to <strong>coach</strong> me in business ...and in swimming. Business? I'd never been interested in business until I met Eiden. And swimming? Maybe it was time I finally overcame my <strong>fears</strong>. We all have them don't we? Even someone as business-minded and focused as Eiden Bates. But between business and swimming sessions Eiden and I got <strong>closer</strong>. Blurry lines met and the <strong>forbidden</strong> spark between us ignited into something we didn't expect. You can do this he said. It's fun when you don't focus on what you are afraid of he said. ...you have to take that first step before it becomes easier. The first step is always hard he said. And I <strong>believed</strong> him. Oh I hung on to every word. After all he was Dad's best friend. Dad said he was loyal. And for the first time in my life I really believed those words. Until Eiden's past came <strong>crushing</strong> us both to the ground.</p>
