What Are That Englishes is a description of some of the heroes and events from English History warts and all and celebrates the quirkiness of the English character if such a thing even exists. The book dips into the artistic achievements tastes and habits of the English and gives fair warning to those trying to make head or tail of them. Provocative iconoclastic but at the same time respectful of both the English and other races which have contributed hugely to the fabric of English society whether the English themselves like it or not. The book tackles head on the relationship we have had with Europe in the past not to be ignored as we contemplate renewing our vows or deciding the divorce settlement. Sometimes serious and sometimes tongue in cheek sometimes of the left sometimes of the right it will challenge the reader to decide which is which.
