What is the Status of Women and Child in Developing Countries?

<p><br></p><p>Development entails security regarding the fulfilment of its three core values viz. sustenance self-esteem and freedom of choice. In the developing world the adversities concerning human development have women's and children's faces predominantly. Hence the prime aims of the book were first to probe the status (quantitative qualitative) of women empowerment and child health in developing economies and investigate the role of women empowerment in child health for the developing world. Data-wise the study is confined to the micro-data from Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) datasets of 33 developing economies from the regions of South & Southeast Asia Central Asia West Asia Latin America & Caribbean and Sub-Saharan Africa.</p>
