<p>Ophelia Mortimer's eight year old daughter is the most powerful Necromancer the world had seen in centuries. Having just enough power to see ghosts Ophelia's life revolves around both protecting her daughter from her power and preparing her to weild it-- or not as she chooses. They have a relatively quiet life together on the family property turned hobby farm. </p><p> </p><p>Ignoring of course the zombie silkie rooster her daughter raised from the dead.</p><p> </p><p>Then one night a ghost dog leads Ophelia into the woods where she discovers the body of a young woman. Who the woman was why she was found on Ophelia's property and the strange behavior of the woman's ghost all drag Ophelia deeper and deeper into a world she wants no part of.</p><p> </p><p>A world in which she unknowingly already plays a key role.</p>
