<p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(34 34 34 1)>In a handwritten notation in his Bible dated March 10 1955 at 3:40 a.m. Dr. T.V. Corky Farris wrote: Over this Bible I surrender my all and claim the anointing of God's Spirit. With these words written as a seminary student Dr. Farris embarked on a life of service and ministry that had actually begun as a college student at Baylor University. Over the next 38 years his ministry included pastorates in Louisiana Mississippi and Texas; the mission field of Japan; serving with the Evangelism Division of the Baptist General Convention of Texas; and finally Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary where he served as Chairman of the Department of Hebrew and Old Testament. The sermons in this volume compiled and edited by his son are but a select few of the hundreds he preached over the years. </span></p><p class=ql-align-justify></p>
