And more important would he stay?</em></strong></p><p>When Lizzy's father left to find work during the Depression no one expected him to stay away forever. Two years later no one expects him to return. </p><p>But Daddy is back (with a scrawny dog named Doorknob) and he needs help. He's out of food and money and there's an officer of the law not far behind.  </p><p>Lizzy discovers the real reason Daddy left. Troubles that began during his service in the Great War are back to haunt him. She agrees to keep his return a secret until he can make things right. </p><p>But after years of silence can Lizzy trust him? Can God really change a man the way Daddy claims he's been changed? </p><p>Sometimes secrets are impossible to keep. When her family learns Daddy is back Lizzy must make a choice and her decision to trust and forgive the father she still loves might come with a price. </p>
