Where I Walk Now

<p><strong><em>Where I Walk Now</em></strong> is a collection of poems by D.D.R.Staines a retired sales executive from Cambridge Ontario written between 1993 and 2023.</p><p>The panel of judges selecting Staines' poetry for first place honors in the <em>Cambridge Writers Collective Writers Undercover Vol 1</em> described his poems as being distinguished by their precise and original imagery and sophisticated use of language.</p><p>Elements of Nature such as water air fire stone sunlight snow will lift readers out of their world and into another.</p><p>This is classic poetry pure and true; it is written from the heart over the course of decades drawn from the experiences of a seasoned life-traveller crafted in a style that has nuance and meaning.  In these poems the author shares his despair about his own deceitfulness; his wonder at new-found love; and finally his thoughts on the meaning of it all.</p><p><em>Out there somewhere</em></p><p><em>On the wings of a hornet</em></p><p><em>On the petals of an orchid</em></p><p><em>On the chance it may be found</em></p><p><em>Lies the truth.</em></p>
