As she follows spring north meeting and befriending a colorful cast of characters along the way she is faced with freezing cold sweltering heat roaring wind countless pointless ups and downs swarms of mosquitos poison ivy illness injury and heartbreak. Audrey is tested both physically and mentally but finds strength and joy in the magic of the trail and the friendships that she forges along her journey from Georgia to Maine.</span></p>
