<p>Abandoned and placed in a children’s home at three months old Ben Williams had a solitary childhood. Now serving as an Able Seaman on the SS Victoria Ben had been drawn to Kate Mills a passenger on the SS Victoria from the moment he first saw her. When Kate falls overboard during a violent tropical storm Ben doesn’t hesitate in risking his own life and dives into mountainous seas to try and rescue her. Washed ashore on a deserted tropical island all Ben’s skills are needed to ensure they survive.</p><p>Exploring one day they are forced to flee from a rapidly approaching tidal wave and cyclone. Running wildly the ground suddenly gives way under their feet tumbling them into underground cave. Later Ben discovers that the storm has uncovered a hoard of stones which he believes are   uncut diamonds.</p><p>Rescued from the island and back in England Kate’s family are overjoyed to be reunited with her and are eager to meet the man who saved her. When Ben and Kate announce that they intend to get married Kate’s family are delighted to welcome Ben into their lives and their hearts giving him something he thought he would never have…a sense of   belonging.</p><p>When the stones are confirmed as diamonds what Ben does next will shape the lives of many people.</p>
