Where We Met

<p><span style=color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>I was asked to be an adjunct professor for one semester while they find a permanent replacement in the International Business program.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>Being the one who never wants to disappoint or say no I accepted.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>I'm excited to give some of my time to others.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>My business that I own with my siblings has taken off and given me more than I ever could have dreamed of.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>Then the first day of class comes and </span><strong style=color: rgba(15 17 17 1)><em>she </em></strong><span style=color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>walks in the room.</span></p><p><br></p><p>I notice her green eyes first and have to try my hardest not to stare during the entire lecture.</p><p><br></p><p>Despite how beautiful she is and how drawn I feel to her I know I can't cross that line. I'm the rule follower of the family.</p><p><br></p><p>But a couple of chance encounters lead to me getting to know her a bit more.</p><p><br></p><p>Now I feel my heart getting involved and the strength I once thought I had is fading.</p><p><br></p><p>With every touch every look every text my control continues to slip.</p>
