His research focuses on destination branding and customer well-being and he holds a PhD and an MPhil from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay. He has previously worked in Bombay for Drishti Services and Lowe Lintas. Aside from academic research he also does consulting and training. Dr. Krishnan has edited two books on branding and his most recent book was published last year under the title Emerging Work Trends in Urban India- Beyond Covid 19. Omkumar has travelled to 55 places in 30 countries as an avid globetrotter. He is a poet who writes in both English and Malayalam.
