Who Is Stronger?

<p>A curious boy asks his mother about strength and receives a story instead<br />of a clear answer. The story is about a girl who goes out to play with her<br />friends. While walking a familiar path her simple journey to town takes an<br />unexpected turn when she meets some unusual beings which tell her that she<br />must pass an unexpected test: choose the strongest one of them but each<br />of them offers a different kind of strength. With the help of her puppy she<br />learns that strength manifests in many forms and that it is not always visible.<br />She must look beyond appearances to discern which of them would have the<br />most power. That choice once made offends the rest of the creatures; each<br />of them claimed unparalleled strength. She realizes that true strength may<br />not be what it seems.<br />The story comes with activities: educational exercises for enhancing language<br />skills and tasks such as arranging words to form grammatically correct sentences<br />(provided vocabulary). It features an exercise for joining dots and identifying<br />hidden words. It also includes prompts for expressing opinions about this<br />story. The young reader is exposed to the concepts of noun verb pronoun<br />numeral adjective and adverb.</p>
