Why I Didn't Save Anyone

Hat did a very bad thing. Will his friend ever be able to forgive him? And will he ever get back home to find out? Reeling from the aftermath of a terrible but ultimately necessary act Hat the assistant of a fantasy author figures out just the right thing to do to fix everything. But then he just had to go and take that nap. Waking up in Vyernra the fantasy world his boss writes about Hat encounters a naïve young man with a magic spoon whom he soon realizes is the historical founder of The One the religion whose tenants would one day shape the moral code for the characters in the books. However the man is not what Hat expected and his attempts at greatness often end disastrously. Should Hat intervene and risk changing the history of Vyenra or should he let his foolish new friend continue to make mistakes that could destroy the world he loves?
