我为何研究民间美术：王树村自述Why I Study Folk Art

<p>Having lived for 86 years and authored over 70 imperial works Wang Shucun is known as the guardian deity of Chinese folk art. Throughout his life he collected more than 17000 New Year's painting powder editions and plates most of which were donated to the country preserving a living civilization of agricultural society for China. His personal history of New Year paintings indirectly confirms the history of the inheritance and protection of Chinese folk art in the 20th century.</p><p>人生八十六年，七十余部皇皇著作，王树村被誉为中国民间艺术的守护神，他一生收集17000余件年画粉本和画版，后多数捐赠国家，为中国保存了农业社会的一个活的文明形态。他一个人的年画史，从一个侧面印证的是20世纪中国民间美术传承与保护的历史。</p>
