Wild Critters I Have Known includes more than two dozen wildlife species that the author has encountered over the years in a wide variety of areas. A few of these range from alligators at Aransas National Wildlife Refuge; mountain lions black bears and javelinas at Big Bend National Park; moose at Grand Teton National Park; peregrines in Mexico's Maderas del Carmens; great gray owls at Crater Lake National Park; to green jays in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. Each of those personal encounters is described as well as the animal's habitats and activities.
